Cookie Policy
Last updated 3 October 2026 · Applies to listnetworks.org and the ListNetworks dashboard
Short version: we use a few cookies to keep you signed in and remember your choices, and — only if you say yes — Google Analytics to see which pages help people. No advertising cookies, no selling of data.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file your browser keeps for a website. It lets the site remember you between pages — for example that you are signed in. Similar tools (local storage) work the same way and are covered by this policy.
Cookies we set ourselves (essential)
These are needed for the site to work. They are always on and need no consent.
| Name | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| ln_session (or similar) | Keeps you signed in to your dashboard | Until you sign out, or 30 days |
| ln_consent | Remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again | 180 days |
| ln_view | Remembers Simple or Expert dashboard view | 1 year |
| ln_domain | Remembers the website you typed before sign-up | Session |
Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 sets cookies so we can see which pages are read, where visitors come from and where they get stuck. We use this to improve the site. IP addresses are shortened and we do not use Google Analytics for advertising.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells one visitor's visits apart from another's | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics | Keeps a visit (session) together | 2 years |
Until you accept, Google receives only cookieless, anonymous signals (Google "Consent Mode"), which cannot identify you. If you reject, that stays the case.
Third-party services on the site
- Google Fonts — loads the Inter typeface. Google may see your IP address when the font is fetched. No cookies.
- Cloudflare — protects the site from attacks and speeds it up. May set a short-lived security cookie (for example
__cf_bm) that is essential.
How to control cookies
- Use cookie settings on this site to switch analytics on or off.
- Your browser can block or delete cookies for any site. If you block essential cookies, sign-in will not work.
- Google offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics everywhere.
